Google eBooks launches at Canadian Campus Stores
Tuesday November 1st, 2011
Campus EBookstore and its' affiliated college stores are thrilled to announce an agreement with Google eBooks to distribute eBooks in Canada, and soon in the United States.
Google eBooks is a new form of cloud-based digital book system that allows readers to access their libraries on almost any device from one single repository regardless of where the books were purchased.
Google eBooks offers hundreds of thousands of titles ranging from new releases and best sellers in every category to classics in the public domain which are frequently used in courses throughout North America.
Campus Ebookstore has partnered with Google eBooks because of its open and accessible platform that can provide an easy way for customers to discover, read and buy eBooks at competitive prices.
Google eBooks provides a publishing and distribution system that best reflects the particular needs of an academic marketplace and is consistent with the student centric operating policies of Campus eBookstore. eBooks can be read across all of the most popular devices currently found on Canadian (and soon United States) campuses.
Google eBooks are available immediately at CampusEBookstore.com. Integration of the platform to approximately 200 individual college store websites is underway. Integration and affiliation for other College stores will begin in the next 60 days.
Campus Ebookstore is owned and operated in Canada and the USA by The Canadian Campus Retail Associates Inc. (CCRA), and Independent College Bookstore Association Inc. (ICBA).
